MAGIC. It can come to each of us through learning, through laughter,
through love and through music. We've been very lucky to have found
it in song, family, community, friendship, and in passing
information between generations while making this recording. What
began for Alex as fun song writing to teach simple learning concepts
to his sons Joshua and especially Matthew (a passionate 5
1/2-year-old music lover with Down Syndrome), evolved into a duet
with brother Ben from the moment their voices blended on the ABC
Blues and Let's Dance. The evolution continued as melodies,
lyrics, illustrations, arrangements and the recording involved
friends and family of varied ages, cultures and abilities. Through
this community union we are enriched by a process that began long
ago when the first generations passed to their children joy and the
culmination of powerful love for life, for family, and for
community, through music and empowering spirit. |
